OSAKA, NOV 29 – Osaka-based shower head manufacturer Science Co. has created an advanced human washing machine called ‘Mirai Ningen Sentakuki’ (future human washing machine). The washing machine will be the latest innovation in personal care.
At the 1970 Osaka Kansai Exhibition, Japanese technology giant Sanyo Electric Co. (now Panasonic Holdings Corp.), has launched the world’s first human washing machine that is shaped like a futuristic egg and uses air bubble technology has attracted the attention of many visitors and sparked a sense of awe.
Yasuaki Aoyama, who was only a fourth grader at the time, witnessed the machine for himself and the feeling of awe remains in his memory. Now, as chairman of Science Co., a company specializing in the production of bathtubs and shower heads, Aoyama is preparing to launch his own modern human washing machine.
“We will offer a new human washing machine as a legacy from the 1970 exhibition,” Aoyama told Japanese reporters recently. The latest model is expected to be showcased at the Osaka Kansai Exhibition in April 2025.
Unlike the original human washing machine that used ultrasound and large air bubbles to clean the user while releasing plastic balls for massage, the human washing machine of the future uses more efficient microscopic air bubbles to clean the body.
In addition, it is equipped with advanced sensors that measure pulse and other biological data to precisely adjust the water temperature, as well as an AI system that assesses the user’s emotional state and projects an image on the washing machine lid to help them be in the right mood.
According to reports Oddity Centralalthough there is no official demonstration yet, Science Co. explains that this cockpit-shaped device will fill with hot water while the user sits in the middle seat, and millions of microscopic bubbles will be released to cleanse the body. Aoyama said his company hopes to allow up to 1,000 people to use this innovative washing machine during Expo Osaka next year.
Science Co. have been hard at work developing this human washing machine for several years. Although the design of the original prototype has changed significantly, the company is still on track with their launch target of 2025. – Agency
