BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 29 NOV – Persistence in reading Al-Quran becomes a practice that creates many noble benefits in addition to drawing closer to Allah SWT thus grabbing multiple rewards.
“This practice also increases knowledge and brings blessings in life, and the worship of reading in congregation can certainly strengthen the Islamic fraternity among the congregation and thus prosper the mosque.”
The matter was explained by the Head of Kampung Sungai Besar, Kampung Serdang and Kampung Sungai Belukut, Lieutenant Colonel (B) Haji Zaini bin Haji Damit at the Al-Quran Khatam Ceremony for the Tadarus Al-Quran Congregation at the Kampung Sungai Besar Mosque, today.
Also participating in the ceremony were the Penghulu of Kota Batu Mukim, Awang Rasli bin Taram and Advisor to the Kampung Sungai Besar Mosque Improvement Committee, Haji Mohidin bin Director Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman.
The ceremony started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and the recitation of Surah Ad-Dhuha until Surah An-Nas led by Awang Abdul Rahim bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd Tamin.
Doa Khatam and then Doa Tahlil led by the Imam of Kampung Sungai Besar Mosque, Awang Muhammad Hazman bin Haji Mohd Hairol Azme.
The ceremony to express gratitude after the recitation of the 30 components of the Al-Quran is also one of the acts of worship for the congregation that aims to ‘One Month Once Complete the Al-Quran’.
