Popular chain restaurant ‘concerned’ about viral breadsticks on TikTok

ORLANDO, Florida — Olive Garden breadsticks are the center of a mystery after a TikTok went viral recently.

A TikTok user shared a video showing their half-eaten breadsticks with letters “O” and “K” as well as the number “6″ in black printed text on its side.

The video has been viewed over 4 million times with more than 300,000 people liking the video on the social media platform.

“Guys, why (are) there letters on my Olive Garden breadstick?” reads the post.

Other TikTokers commented on the post saying they have experienced similar issues. One user said they have ordered and received a pizza with receipt ink on the cheese.

The official Olive Garden account commented on the now-viral TikTok.

“We are concerned to see this. Can you please send an email to social@olivegarden.com with your full name, and the location you went to?” the company commented on the post.

Four days later, the restaurant chain sent the original poster a $100 gift card for the issue, according to another post from the user.

As of 2023, there were 949 Olive Garden restaurants locations in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The Italian restaurant chain is known for its classic Italian-inspired food, including its “never-ending” breadsticks, soup, and salad. The first Olive Garden opened in Orlando, Florida, in 1982.
