Policy: It is clear after the health and care committee at the Storting delivered its recommendation on Tuesday, writes NRK.

Medicines that can be rationed include ADHD medicines, slimming medicines and antibiotics for children.

Health and care minister Jan Christian Vestre (Ap) told NRK last week that rationing today has worked with the help of goodwill on the part of many parties. He believes that a change in the law is important.

– A legal basis must be established if the authorities are to impose restrictions on the supply of medicines in a shortage situation, says Vestre.
