Education: These days, tens of thousands of students are preparing for their exams. At the same time, the parties in the state wage settlement sit with national mediator Mats Wilhelm Ruland.

The deadline to agree expires at midnight. If they do not agree, there will be a strike from Friday – which could, among other things, affect the running of the exams, writes Chrono.

On Friday, LO will put 277 employees at the University of Oslo (UiO) on strike, as well as 277 at Oslo Met. YS Stat states that they will remove 115 members at Oslo Met on Monday.

– It will obviously affect both teaching and exams, and thus also students. There are several activities that will not be able to be carried out during a strike, says leader of the Norwegian Civil Service Association at Oslo Met, Ingvild Nordang.

On Monday, among other things, it was announced that 118 employees will be made redundant at the University of Bergen, 78 at the University of Western Norway and 84 at the University of Stavanger.
