AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Symphony Orchestra is hosting its annual Holiday Pops concert on Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at E.J. Thomas Hall.
The concert, which features tenor Daniel Doty and Guest Conductor Cheryl Kline, promises to be a merry outing for people of all ages.
In addition to the orchestra, songs will be performed by Summit Bells, the Akron Symphony Chorus, the Gospel Meets Symphony Choir and Firestone Community Learning Center’s School for the Arts Symphonic Choir.
Holiday Pops features holiday classics such as, “Oh Come, All Ye Faithful,” “Emmanuel,” “Sleigh Ride” and “Hanukkah Festival Overture.” Fun selections planned include “Christmas Hoedown” and “Christmas Singalong,” which encourages audience members to join in the singing.
Tickets for children and university students are $7. Adult tickets range from $20-$60. Parking is $8 ahead of time, $10 at the gate or valet parking is available for $15. Purchase tickets online.
Tickets and parking purchased at least a week in advance will be mailed unless other arrangements are made. Tickets purchased less than a week from the concert date will be available in the office or at the venue the night of the concert. Parking must be purchased at least a week ahead of time to receive the parking pass in time.
E.J. Thomas Hall is located on the University of Akron campus at 198 Hill St.
