Sport: After nine league rounds, the team has fallen to the bottom half of the table. The team is in 12th place, seven points ahead of league leader Cerezo Osaka, who has played one game less.

Isa Sakamoto scored the match winner for the visitors in the 78th minute in front of 41,377 spectators at Saitama Stadium.

– We controlled most of the match and created enough chances to win. I counted 8-10 chances for us, while Osaka only had one, said Høgmo at the press conference, according to the team’s website.

– I told the players that they did a good job. I am grateful for their efforts and attitude, and their loyalty to our way of playing football.

Marius Høibråten played the entire match in central defence. His Danish partner Alexander Scholz was replaced just before the late goal.

– He came to me and said he had to go out, said Høgmo.

The team has been very plagued by injuries. Høgmo has got some players back after injuries and hopes to get more soon.

– Ola Solbakken has also started jogging, so we are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel, said the coach.
