Austria’s beach volleyball players missed the bronze medal at the European Nations Cup in Vienna on Saturday. In the battle for third place against Latvia, Dorina Klinger/Ronja Klinger first beat the duo Varvara Brailko/Anete Namike 2-0 (15.12), then Katharina Schützenhöfer/Lena Plesiutschnig also lost 0-2 to Tina Graudina/Anastasija Kravcenoka (- 14,-14). In the golden set, the latter prevailed against Plesiutschnig/Schützenhofer with 15:12.
The red-white-red men were still in the game for a medal. Martin Ermacora/Moritz Pristauz and Robin Seidl/Philipp Waller met Italy in the semifinals on Saturday evening at the Heumarkt.
