The company said in a statement, seen by Sky News Arabia, that the new facility was developed in cooperation with “Al Ghaith Energy“, on an area of 46 thousand square meters, and aims to support customers from one of the main energy centers in the world.
The Surface Pressure Control Solutions Center in Abu Dhabi will provide a full range of wellhead equipment and services, and well sealing valve ranges to customers in the Middle East and around the world.
The UAE’s strategic location will facilitate local supplies of essential equipment, reducing shipping times, simplifying deliveries, and enhancing supply chain logistics for customers, according to the statement.

He added: “Through this strategic step, we seek to meet the needs of our customers wherever they are, contribute to providing energy supplies in a more efficient and rapid manner, and issue the least amount of carbon emissions per barrel.”
The company said that the opening of the new facility represents the latest addition to Baker Hughes’ achievements within the framework of its commitments to the UAE over a period of sixty years, adding that this step also reflects the company’s keenness to contribute to achieving Emiratization goals.
Baker Hughes currently employs 1,700 people in the UAE across about ten facilities focused on manufacturing, service, remote monitoring and training.
The expanded operations of the facility will create more than 100 additional local jobs in Hussein. The establishment of a training center on site will empower talent in the UAE and the region as a whole.
