Bolton shoplifter jailed for gift set thefts

A SHOPLIFTER who targeted Bolton store, stealing gift sets and sunglasses, has been jailed for 23 weeks.

Wigan magistrates heard how Roy Allen, aged 35, of no fixed address, stole men’s gift sets, worth a total of £500, from Boots on July 11 and Rayban sunglasses, valued at £400, from Scrivens opticians on June 15.

At the time Allen was already subject to a suspended sentence for thefts.
