Sport: The Norwegian record holder in length only managed to jump 7.82 meters in the EC in Rome and was thus eliminated in the qualification. He considers that he is not good enough to make it to the Olympics in Paris later this summer.

– There are not enough good tournaments to improve the ranking. And I don’t think I’m good enough to jump 8.28. It is very far, says the 27-year-old, who is far down on the Olympic ranking list Address.

Bratseth-Kiplesund also does not know whether he will continue his career after this season. The Olympics in Los Angeles in four years will be of no use to him.

– I can promise you that Los Angeles 2028 will not be. I take one year at a time. There will be no Olympics for this guy. But fortunately I live quite comfortably with that. There is no heartbreak, he says, before adding:

– Maybe it will come sometime. Who knows? After all, I have put in quite a few thousand hours.
