Working life: – We are keen to take care of our members’ health, but the employers in Offshore Norway show no willingness to discuss worsening working conditions on the continental shelf, says IE&FLT deputy leader Lill-Heidi Bakkerud in a press release.

The association has also not succeeded in reaching an agreement with Offshore Norway to reduce the financial gap between the various professional groups in the oil industry.

The oil service agreement covers just over 6,000 IE&FLT members who work in supplier companies in the oil industry.

– It is a shame that we did not come to an agreement this time, especially because we submitted an offer in accordance with the frontline settlement, says negotiation leader Elisabeth Brattebø Fenne in Offshore Norway.

The date for when the parties will meet at the Riksmekleren has not been set.

This was the second of four settlements for employees in the petroleum sector that Offshore Norway is negotiating. The parties reached an agreement on the shelf settlement last week, while the settlement on the Land Base Agreements and the Land Agreements will take place later in May.
