Policy: That is what NFO writes in a press release, according to The online newspaper. The negotiations started on Monday this week, but on Tuesday evening there was a breakdown.

NFO says that the parties have not been able to reach an agreement in the negotiations, which they believe are about “members’ fundamental rights”.

– Norwegian aviation is going through a challenging time in the face of an announced aircraft technician shortage, and NHO Luftfart is engaging in union-busting in the negotiations. NFO is determined to find constructive solutions, but sees a need to use the Riksmekler in an attempt to reach an agreement with NHO Luftfart, says NFO leader Jan Skogseth in the press release.

Negotiator Ragne Eikrem in NHO Luftfart has been presented with Skogseth’s claim of union busting. To Nettavisen, Eikrem does not wish to comment on the allegations or anything else related to the negotiations in general.

The Norwegian Aviation Technician Association is an employee organization of aircraft technicians for aircraft technicians and has around 500 members from several of the airlines and maintenance organizations in Norway, it says on the organisation’s website.
