Brunei participates in the Chuncheon World Junior Taekwondo Championship

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, OCT 1 – Brunei Darussalam will participate in the Chuncheon 2024 World Junior Taekwondo Championships which will take place at the Chuncheon Air Dome, Republic of Korea, starting today until October 6.

The prestigious event brings together more than 900 athletes from 106 countries who compete in various weight categories to win the title of world champion.

The tournament is also recognized as one of the biggest platforms for young athletes in the sport of taekwondo, giving participants from all over the world the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and endurance at the highest level.

In addition, it also plays a role in promoting cultural exchange and fostering friendship among the global taekwondo community.

The country is represented by Dayang Nur Alysha Ameera binti Nasrul Azran, who will compete in the Women’s Under 52kg Category. Dayang Nur Alysha, who has undergone intensive training under the guidance of national coaches, is expected to display her best skills when competing with the world’s best young athletes.

The Brunei Darussalam Taekwondo Association continues to be committed to promoting the sport of taekwondo as one of the main sports in the country, with the hope of producing more future champions who are able to compete internationally. Brunei’s participation in the 2024 Chuncheon World Junior Taekwondo Championships is proof of the development of the country’s taekwondo community and paves the way for a brighter future for the sport in Brunei.
