BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 24 – In an effort to preserve and strengthen family harmony, the Department of Syariah Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU) through the Family Counseling Service Division has implemented the Bisai Tah Berjemaah Program (BTB) at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque, today .
The BTB program is filled with Fardu Subuh prayers in congregation at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque and then Subuh tazkirah delivered by the Assistant Counselor of Prisons, Department of Prisons, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Awang Fariszal bin Ali, with the title of tazkirah My family chant.
Present as the guest of honor is the Permanent Secretary at KHEU, Haji Muhammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim.
The event continued with fitness exercise activities and also some group family game activities at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien and ended with a prize-giving ceremony presented by the Director of Syariah Affairs, KHEU, Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gemok.
Meanwhile, yesterday, the BTB Program also participated in the Malam Munajat Program at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque. Present as the guest of honor was the Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary, KHEU, Haji Shamsol Bin Haji Omar, and his wife.
Also present were members of the National Assembly, Honorable Haji Mohd Salleh bin Haji Othman, as Penghulu Mukim Bukit Sawat, Zone 1 of Belait District; and Haji Suhaimi as well as senior officers and staff from the Shariah Affairs Department and KHEU.
The program targets family groups consisting of the head of the household himself, i.e. husband or wife together with at least two family members from KHEU citizens with a total of 100 participants.
The program included tazkirah and family motivational briefings delivered by the Senior Religious Officer from the Sharia Affairs Department, KHEU, Haji Shaharuddin bin Haji Petra, and the Religious Officer from the Sharia Affairs Department, KHEU, Awang Abdul Mu’iid bin Hariel.
