INEOS Grenadiers has two very strong formations on paper for the Clasica San Sebastian and the Tour of Poland, which start this weekend. The British formation of millions is still enjoying a successful Tour de France, but will open another can with toppers before the autumn.
The men who already impressed in the classics and the Giro d’Italia earlier this year will be brought back from the stable for part two of the season. Richard Carapaz – second in the Giro – prepares in the Tour of Poland for the Vuelta a España. He will be supported by the young guard who rode so well in the spring, including Ben Tulett, Magnus Sheffield and Jhonatan Narváez. Salvatore Puccio and takes care of the experience and Elijah Vivianic serves the sprinter. Ethan Hayter is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to stage wins.
Michal Kwiatkowski is missing from INEOS in his home game. The Pole is normally always present in the Tour of Poland, but a crash during training throws a spanner in the works. “It’s been a year full of relapses and comebacks, now another relapse. I crashed in France ten days ago and luckily I didn’t break anything. A concussion means that I will have to rest to recover as well as possible. I’m disappointed I can’t ride in front of my home crowd, but I’ll be back. Again,” writes kwiato through his social channels.
Martínez and Geoghegan Hart in Clasica San Sebastián
INEOS is counting on Daniel Felipe Martínez and . for the Clasica San Sebastián Tao Geoghegan Hart. The two climbers each had a different run-up. Martínez rode the Tour de France, in which he slowly got better in the third week. Geoghegan Hart has had a lot of setbacks this season, but has trained hard in recent weeks. With Carlos Rodriguez and Pavel Sivakov, INEOS has two more strong climbers for Saturday. Jonathan Castroviejo, Cameron Wurf and Brandon Rivera are the servants on duty.
