Cat gets stuck in tree, someone abandons dog, man falls through table and is injured: Russell Township police blotter

RUSSELL TOWNSHIP, Ohio —

Animal complaint, Dale Road: When a cat climbed up 40 ft. into a tree and got stuck 4:29 p.m. Nov. 13, police responded along with firefighters. Assistance was given.

Information, Hemlock Point: Two residents arrived at the police station 10 a.m. Nov. 6 to report a disturbance in front of their home. A young man in a black SUV drove down their street, blew the vehicle’s horn and made an obscene gesture as it passed in front of their home. One of the complainants was outside at the time and near the end of the driveway. They requested a report on file and extra police patrols.

Crash, County Line Road: Police charged a woman 1:29 a.m. Nov. 3 for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The crash occurred when she lost control and drove off the road into a ditch.

Assist, Hemlock Point: Police and EMS responded to a call to a home 10:36 a.m. Nov. 2 after a 47-year-old man fell through a glass table and began hemorrhaging. Assistance was given.

Assistance, Chillicothe Road: Rescue Village’s humane officer spoke with police Nov. 8 regarding a dog that was abandoned. Assistance was provided.
