CLEVELAND, Ohio — Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James returned Wednesday.
This time, he had his son, Bronny, with him.
Bronny wasn’t seated courtside as a fan like past homecoming games at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. The 55th pick of the 2024 NBA Draft and on a two-way contract with the Lakers, Bronny was in warmup gear on the bench alongside his father who had just checked out of the game during that timeout.
To commemorate this special occasion, the Cavs welcomed both players back during the first stoppage of Wednesday’s matchup — a one-minute honoring that featured a tribute video with various clips from LeBron’s 11 years in Cleveland, including some moments spent with a younger Bronny during the Cavaliers’ 2016 championship celebration.
LeBron James and Bronny James visited Cleveland for the first time as teammates Wednesday night.
At the end of the video, fans rose to their feet, roared with applause and acknowledged the Jameses while LeBron tapped Bronny on the leg, seemingly telling him to soak in the moment.
