Sport: Palmer scored three times in just 16 minutes before halftime. However, it was the 21-year-old’s fourth goal that will be talked about the most afterwards.

Just over an hour had been played when Chelsea were awarded a penalty kick. In the seconds that followed, the Chelsea players lined up to take the penalty. Several pushed each other and exchanged words.

Noni Madueke was fouled and obviously felt he had earned his shot. Nicholas Jackson was at least as determined, but in the end Palmer took the ball and resolutely pushed the others away.

– This is parodic. Those are embarrassing pictures. That will be settled at the chamber afterwards, said Viaplay commentator Andreas Toft.

– It’s just stupid to watch. Quite stupid. When you lead 5-0, have played perhaps the best game of the season and have a player who has scored a hat-trick. Then you just clap the bread scissors again and let him take the penalty kick. This is embarrassing, said expert Lars Tjærnås.

– He is in such hysterical shape that I struggle to draw parallels to anyone other than Lionel Messi, Viaplay expert Petter Veland said on the channel’s broadcast.

He elaborated by pointing out that the youngster had delivered a completely flawless first half, and that Palmer also has wild numbers to show for the last time.

It took just 13 minutes for Palmer to tap in his first goal with his left foot. The goal came after lovely collaboration with striker Nicolas Jackson.

Just five minutes later, the same duo were in action again. Then it was Jackson who went for the shot, but once again Palmer put the ball in the goal when Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford saved, but had to return.

– Here he does it in the most humiliating way, and he does everything himself again, commented Andreas Toft on Viaplay.

The aforementioned Jackson made it 4-0 just before the break in what turned out to be a nightmare period for an Everton side struggling in the relegation battle.

The Liverpool club has been deducted a total of eight points this season for breaching the Premier League’s financial rules. The last two points have been appealed.

After the break, the pain got worse with the penalty that made it 5-0. In the match, substitute Alfie Gilchrist (20) also scored 6-0 and celebrated wildly.

Palmer’s four goals mean the 21-year-old has 20 Premier League goals so far this season. It is the same number as Erling Braut Haaland.

Just before half an hour had been played, Palmer and Pickford again came into focus. The goalkeeper sent the ball straight into the legs of the two-goal scorer after a weak play, and the left-footed Palmer responded by knocking in his hat-trick from around 30 meters with his right foot.
