CHICO — Brightly colored leaves continue to fall from tree branches, and the northern state is a wonderful place to experience the Autumn colors.
At the Chico Seed Orchard, shades of yellow, red, orange, green and brown adorn plants and the ground.
The seed orchard at 2741 Cramer Lane is managed by the Mendocino National Forest and is open to walkers from 7 am to 5 pm daily. The main gate is open to vehicle access from 7 am to 3 pm Dogs must be on leash at all times and visitors are not allowed on the 209-acre property after dark.
