Actor Hisyam Hamid will contact his children after finishing filming if he plays an antagonistic character.
Hisyam or Hazmi Hisyam Abdul Hamid, 39, said that this was done because his children were ‘wallpapers’ to prevent him from being carried away by playing an evil character.
“Sometimes after doing a bad scene, I feel guilty. So I made a video call with my kids to get my mind right again.
“Usually on set I remove ‘Hisyam Hamid’ and insert ‘roh’ of the given character. I don’t talk to people near the filming set because I want to maintain that character,” he told mStar.
Hisyam played the role of Haikal through the drama If He Wasn’t which aired on Astro Ria starting October 21.
In the meantime, Hisyam said he always reminded himself not to be dominated by angry emotions like he did on set.
Therefore, he chose to get closer to positive people so that it would be easier to get out of the character.
“As an actor, I don’t deny that we can get carried away with a character, so I have to get myself back on track.
“For me, we have to control that thought. For example, I do a fight scene, after that we do good things with the family.
“Look for good things like chatting with them to reabsorb the positive aura. We put the negative feelings aside for a while,” he explained.
Sharing his experience of acting in different scripts, Hisyam revealed that he had to stop using social media for a few months because he hated seeing a happy family.
“I was once badly affected while filming a film about troubled family relationships.
“My emotions are disturbed to the point where I can’t see other people’s families being happy, so I decided to close my social media account and refuse to know about the state of the world outside,” he said. – Agency
