AKRON, Ohio – If you haven’t started your holiday shopping yet or you still have gifts to buy, check out Akron’s annual Christmas Arts & Crafts Show Dec. 6-8 at E.J. Thomas Hall.
It’s the 44th year for the show, which features 110 juried artists and craftspeople, according to the event Facebook page. Attendees can browse goods while sampling holiday treats and taking in the sights and sounds of the season.
Show hours are Friday, Dec. 6 from noon to 7 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Artists will offer goods in a variety of mediums, including paintings, artistic photography, sewing, floral arranging, glass art, jewelry, wood carving, pottery, soap, candles, gourmet food products and gifts for pets.
Canal Fulton Bath House owner Shannon Hunter is one of the show’s exhibitors. The bath house specializes in handmade soaps, bath bombs, milk baths, lotions and scrubs, according to Hunter.
“This is my third year at the Christmas Arts & Crafts Show,” Hunter said. “I learned how to make cold-process soap in 2016 and I started selling my products in 2021.”
Hunter uses all natural, quality ingredients, she said. She also sources ingredients from other local small businesses when possible. Canal Fulton Bath House’s booth will be located in the McCormick Lobby by the Deck Parking entrance.
Show admission is $5, $4 for those 62 and older and free for children ages 12 and younger. Free parking is available on the University of Akron Campus. E.J. Thomas Hall is located at 198 Hill St.
