The Colombian Santi Butriago inscribed his name in the legend by winning the queen stage of this 106th edition of the Giro on May 26. The Bahrain-Victorious climber, from the morning breakaway, arrived alone. Already winner of a stage last year on the Giro, the 23-year-old rider won ahead of the Canadian Derek Gee (Israel PT), who finished for the fourth time in second place in this Giro of which he is the one of the main animators. Geraint Thomas remains the race leader still ahead of Primoz Roglic and Joao Almeida.
