KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A Big 12 title shot is on the horizon as Deion Sanders and the No. 16 Colorado Buffaloes travel to face the red-hot Kansas Jayhawks today – Saturday, Nov. 23 – at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. This game is available on multiple streaming services for free.

The Buffaloes (8-2, 6-1 Big 12) have won four straight games and now control their own destiny to make the Big 12 Championship game. Colorado crushed Utah 49-24 in their previous game.
Their only losses have come against Nebraska and Kansas State this season.
Colorado senior quarterback Shedeur Sanders continues to amaze, tossing for 3,222 yards and 27 touchdowns with seven interceptions and a 72% completion percentage. His 76.6 QBR is the 19th-highest in the nation.
Sanders is equipped with a treasure trove of talent in the receiving core.
Two-way junior superstar Travis Hunter has hauled in 74 receptions and 911 yards with nine touchdowns, averaging 12.3 yards per reception. On defense, Hunter has notched 16 solo tackles, three interceptions and one forced fumble. Hunter is the Heisman Trophy frontrunner and has played nearly 1,200 snaps overall.
Three seniors make up a dynamic 1-2-3 punch.
LaJohntay Wester has notched 55 receptions for 660 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 12 yards per reception while Will Sheppard has 40 receptions for 540 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 13.5 yards per reception.
Jimmy Horn Jr. rounds out the trio, tallying 33 receptions for 434 yards and one touchdown, averaging 13.2 yards per reception. Horn is questionable to play.
Sophomore Isaiah Augustave is trying to get the run game off the ground, tallying 80 carries for 362 yards and four touchdowns. Colorado is 133rd in the nation in total rushing.
Colorado’s rushing defense continues to tighten up, ranking No. 2 in the conference in yards per carry allowed (3.7). The unit limited Utah to 31 rushing yards on 30 attempts. They will have a daunting assignment in stopping the Jayhawks’ multi-faceted attack. Colorado ranks 94th in explosiveness allowed.
Senior linebacker LaVonta Bentley has stuffed the run with 31 solo tackles, one sack and one forced fumble. Senior linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green has been even more impressive, touting 46 solo tackles with two sacks and two interceptions.

The Jayhawks (4-6, 3-4) are on a heater, knocking off undefeated Iowa State and undefeated BYU in consecutive weeks. They have won three of their last four games and must win out to earn a bowl berth.
The surging offense averages 30.2 points per game. They have achieved 400 or more total yards in four of their last five games.
Junior quarterback Jalon Daniels has tallied 1,985 yards, 13 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He also has 338 yards and six touchdowns on the ground.
After an erratic start, Daniels has only turned the ball over three times in his last five games.
Senior receiver Luke Grimm touts 44 receptions for 582 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 13.2 yards per reception. He leads the team in targets with 69.
Paired with the legs of Daniels, the Jayhawks have one of the best overall rushing attacks in the Big 12. They average 200.3 rushing yards per game and have scored a combined 24 touchdowns. The programs all-time leading rusher Devin Neal has amassed 162 carries for 926 yards and 12 touchdowns. Junior Daniel Hishaw Jr. has tallied 65 carries for 376 yards and three touchdowns.
As is the case with almost every opponent of Colorado’s, there is a distinct advantage on the ground. In their two losses this season, the Buffaloes allowed over 4.2 yards per carry. Kansas has only been held under 4.6 yards once this season.
As great as the Colorado passing game is, the Jayhawks have one of the few groups in the conference that can contain them.
Senior cornerback Cobee Bryant has nabbed 23 solo tackles, four interceptions, four pass deflections and one forced fumble. Senior cornerback Melo Dotson has 33 solo tackles, five interceptions, five pass deflections and one forced fumble.
The Jayhawks are top 30 in takeaways per game, tallying 1.4.
Colorado owns the historic rivalry, 42-23-3. Kansas has won four of the last five meetings, and was victorious in the last matchup, 52-45, in 2010.
