Danger warning of lightning in Southern and Eastern Norway

Weather: A yellow lightning warning has therefore been issued, and people are advised to keep up to date with how the weather and the weather forecast are developing, reports Meteorological Institute.

According to the meteorologists, there will be large local differences in intensity, and according to the forecast, some places can avoid the thunderstorm.

The danger warning including Oslo, Moss, Skien, Rjukan, Dokka and Hamar.

If lightning starts, people are advised to seek shelter, not swim and avoid open plains. The meteorologists also ask people to consider the need for preventive measures.

Lightning strikes can cause fires in buildings, forests and vegetation. There is already a great risk of forest fires in large parts of southern and eastern Norway.
