Sport: Thus, the Lakers and LeBron James were stopped by the Nuggets and superstar Nikola Jokic for the second year in a row. The Lakers lit up hope with a win at home at the weekend, but on Monday the Denver team secured advancement in front of their own fans in Colorado.

Murray shook off a calf strain and scored 32 points for the Nuggets. He also made the decisive shot with 3.6 seconds left on the game clock.

Shortly before, James had equalized at 106-106 with two penalty scores. Murray settled in similar fashion in game two, but was even happier after securing his ticket to the 2nd round of the playoffs and games against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

– This one was a little better, Murray said as the confetti swirled around him and his cheering teammates.

Jokic was close to triple-doubles, but stopped at nine assists in addition to 25 points and 20 rebounds. Michael Porter Jr. also contributed strongly with 26 points.

LeBron James scored 30 points for the Lakers, but couldn’t stop the Nuggets this year either. Jokic’s team has beaten the Lakers twelve times in the last 13 meetings between the teams.

Five games in the 1st round is James’ shortest playoff appearance in the 17 times he has played there. The veteran won the NBA title with the Lakers in 2020 and has also won twice with the Miami Heat and once with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
