So, Gov. Mike DeWine now wants to get rid of gerrymandering, perhaps using the method Iowa uses (“DeWine calls for legislators to address gerrymandering,” Nov. 8). With this method, maps are drawn up by a nonpartisan committee, then given to the partisan legislature to change however they see fit.
Who does DeWine think he’s kidding? He helped defeat Issue 1, which would truly have been nonpartisan, only to look at replacing it with the same old gerrymandering he supported when the current maps were drawn. Don’t forget, this is the guy who condemned what Donald Trump and JD Vance did to Springfield, without withdrawing his public support for their election. Don’t be fooled!
