Donald Trump elected 47th president of the United States
The day after his victory, Donald Trump received the congratulations from world leaders entire, including the Chinese president Xi Jinping. The Republican, however, committed during his campaign to skyrocketing customs tariffs on products imported from China, to encourage made in America.
Trump sweeps swing states
Among Donald Trump’s important victories, the “swing states”, those states which could swing from one side to the other, were all won by the Republican camp. Only Arizona and Nevada do not yet have final results.
Kamala Harris admits defeat
Kamala Harris admitted defeat on Wednesday facing Donald Trump, while promising his supporters to “keep fighting”, in a speech with a rather combative tone. “We will help (Donald Trump) and his team in the transition and we will engage in a peaceful transfer of power,” assured the outgoing vice-president.
Trump and his team will not officially be in place until January, but a very well-established process is now being put in place to allow his arrival at the White House in two and a half months.
