Sport: The match was not only of the marathon type, but also the one that has lasted the longest night in the history of the tournament. It wasn’t until after 3 o’clock on Sunday night that Djokovic was able to collect the victory.

Musetti, who is ranked number 30 in the world, was ahead after three sets, but then the Serbian star took over and took home the last two sets in easier fashion.

The match ended 7-5, 6–7 (6-8), 2-6, 6-3, 6–0.

In the round of 16 on Monday, Djokovic will meet Argentine Francisco Cerundolo, who is ranked number 27 in the world.

Norwegian tennis ace Casper Ruud is also through to the round of 16, where he meets American Taylor Fritz, who is number 12 in the ATP ranking. Ruud is ranked number 7.

If both Ruud and Djokovic win, the two meet in the quarter-finals.
