Driver in car crash charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated: Lakewood Police Blotter

LAKEWOOD, Ohio –

OVI: Franklin Boulevard

Officers at 12:35 a.m. on Nov. 10 responded to a crash on Franklin Boulevard near Wyandotte Avenue. One of the cars crashed into a utility pole. Two cars were towed from the scene. Both drivers declined medical treatment. A female driver was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, according to a police event report.

Disorderly conduct: Madison Avenue

An officer at 3:58 a.m. on Nov. 10 responded to a male caller’s report of a woman lying in the street on Madison Avenue near St. Charles Avenue. The officer arrested the woman for disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

Improper handling of a firearm: Clifton Boulevard

A patrol officer at 10:29 a.m. on Nov. 12 stopped a vehicle on Clifton Boulevard at Nicholson Avenue. The officer charged the driver with driving under suspension and improper handling of a firearm.

Theft: Detroit Avenue

A resident of Detroit Avenue near Alameda Avenue on Nov. 12 reported that a bike was stolen.

Criminal damaging: Waterbury Road

A resident at 6:28 p.m. on Nov. 12 reported finding the windshield of his Ford Fusion broken.

Theft: Detroit Avenue

A Walgreens employee at 9 p.m. on Nov. 12 reported a man stole some food items and wine coolers from the store. An officer located the suspect nearby and charged him with petty theft, obstructing, disorderly conduct while intoxicated, failure to identify, and drug paraphernalia, according to a police event report.

OVI: Clifton Boulevard

A male driver on Clifton Boulevard near Manor Park Avenue was arrested at about 10 p.m. on Nov. 13 for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Theft: Detroit Avenue

A Walgreens manager at 3:18 a.m. on Nov. 16 reported a woman stole a bottle of liquor and left in a black Audi sedan. Police stopped the sedan and arrested a female for petty theft, according to a police event report.

Breaking and entering: Madison Avenue

Officers at 3:37 a.m. on Nov. 16 responded to an alarm at Dairy Mart and found a front window was shattered. The business was clear and the keyholder was notified to respond.

Disorderly conduct: Lake Avenue

Officers at 7:09 a.m. on Nov. 16 responded to Lakewood Park regarding a man sleeping on a picnic table in the park. He had a blanket and some bags. Police cited the man for disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

Criminal damaging: Detroit Avenue

A woman at 10:28 a.m. on Nov. 16 reported finding one of her tires slashed.
