Impaired driver, Pearl Road
A driver was stopped for running a red light, driving off the roadway and driving onto a curb at 11:36 p.m. Nov. 17. The driver attempted to flee on foot, was apprehended and later registered more than three times the legal limit for intoxication on a breath test. He was taken to the Medina County Jail after being unable to post bond, and a passenger in the car was cited for underage consumption and released to his mother
Shoplifting, Center Road
A man was arrested at 5:20 p.m. Nov. 23 for stealing $323 worth of Pokémon cards from Meijer. He reportedly had an active felony warrant out of the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office for failing to appear in court on a dangerous drugs possession charge, and he was additionally charged with drug paraphernalia possession for having two glass pipes with residue inside.
Warrant, Laurel Road
Officers served a warrant on a resident at his home at 3:12 p.m. Nov. 22 from the Medina County Sheriff’s Office for six counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor. The man was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Medina County Sheriff’s Office.
Theft, Rocklyn Drive
A woman reported her purse stolen from her boyfriend’s car while the two were at his house at 11 p.m. Nov. 22. The woman named the boyfriend’s brother as a suspect. Police questioned the suspect and he reportedly said he entered the car and went through the purse, but did not. The victim and her boyfriend declined pressing charges at the time of the report.
