Edmonton weather: Oh, the winds, the winds are blowing

Article content

A look at Thursday’s Edmonton weather from Environment Canada.

It’s -2 C at the Edmonton Blatchford weather station with blessedly calm winds.

It’s really getting chilly out there, hey?

Alberta’s weather being as inconsistent as it is, it’s sometimes hard to tell exactly what season we’re in — though I think waking up to hoarfrost everywhere is a pretty good indicator of what the forecast is, and where it’s headed.

Friday will be a dreary, cloud-filled affair with a high of 1 C and winds up to 15 km/h. The overcast and bluster will persist overnight and into Saturday, where the winds will climb to 40 km/h with a high of 3 C.

The clouds are forecasted to clear up by Sunday, so we may get at least one sunny day this weekend!
