CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland firefighters extinguished a blaze Thursday that caused $200,000 in damage to a convenience store on the city’s East Side.
Crews responded about 11:10 p.m. at the Collinwood Convenient Express, a store located on St. Clair Avenue, near East 155th Street.
No one was injured.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to Lt. Mike Norman, the spokesman for the Cleveland Division of Fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire within 45 minutes.
The store was not open at the time of the fire. No occupants were inside.
Fire crews boarded up the building.
