Sport: The 27-year-old won by almost half a minute to overall leader Tadej Pogacar, while a further 38 seconds separated third-placed Thymen Arensmann.

Tobias Foss also impressed on the Italian roads on Saturday. The Norwegian clocked in at 36.28 on the 31.2 kilometer long pace, and the 26-year-old from Vingrom was thus able to take the lead.

There he was allowed to sit until teammate Ganna took over the lead. In the end, it ended with 8th place for Foss, who only had 19 seconds to reach the podium.

– It was a decent pace. We were a bit unsure if I should go for it today, but I wanted to give it a try. It was an average pace, said Foss after the pace according to Eurosport.

Pogacar leads this year’s Giro d’Italia in superior style with seven stages remaining. The Slovenian has three minutes and 41 seconds to go on British veteran Geraint Thomas.
