“Each flight creates more jobs and trade,” he said.
In a separate statement, it said global air cargo demand, measured by cargo tonnes per kilometer (CTK) strengthened 9.4 percent in September 2024 year-on-year, the 14th consecutive month of growth.
Additionally, capacity, measured in available CTK (ACTK), was up 6.4 percent compared to last year.
According to the statement, it was largely related to growth in international cargo space capacity, which rose 10.3 percent, extending the trend of double-digit annual capacity growth to 41 consecutive months.
As for long-term trends, the air cargo world will track the results of the US election as an indication of how US trade policy will evolve. – Named
