– Good to see it go in

Sport: Viking thought they had scored the winning goal four minutes into overtime when Viking captain Zlatko Tripic put the ball into the open goal after great preparation by Lars-Jørgen Salvesen.

But three minutes later, Ingebrigtsen became an Odd hero when he turned up at 16 meters and sent the ball into the corner.

– My God, it was back and forth from the first minute. It was good to see it go in. I think we are on par with Viking even if they take over in the 2nd half. At least we get one point, said Ingebrigtsen to TV 2.

Before that, Harald Nilsen Tangen had sent Viking into the lead before Tobias Svendsen equalized and shortly afterwards sent Odd up into the lead. The first three goals came before the break.

– When I got the first one, there was a bit of a ketchup effect there. I don’t usually put the second one, Svendsen told TV 2 during the break.

In the second half, Viking pressed and scored after 87 minutes. Peter Christiansen’s shot hit Tony Miettinen and went into the goal.

In overtime, Mihajlo Ivancevic was sent off for Odd.

Big brother Sander started on the bench for Viking and came on after 84 minutes. Soon after, things got dramatic.

Odd will host Fredrikstad in the next round, while Viking will play a home game against crisis-hit Tromsø.

Odd received two previous blows when the back pair Josef Baccay and Espen Ruud both had to leave the field with injuries after only 15 minutes.

Odd first equalized when Svendsen’s shot went through the foot of Djibril Diop and into the goal behind an outplayed Patrik Gunnarsson. Five minutes after that, Svendsen got the ball on 16 metres. He then straightened it before bending it in the corner.

Svendsen has previously been open about mental problems as a teenager. It has also led to him taking a break from football at times.

The 24-year-old Svendsen signed for Odd last summer after the contract with Lillestrøm expired. On Sunday he played against his brother Sander Svendsen’s club.

After 25 minutes, Nilsen Tangen sent the visitors into the lead. Zlatko Tripic headed the ball beautifully down to Tangen who strolled it into the goal. It would also wake up the home team, who turned the game around in ten minutes.
