CLEVELAND, Ohio — Guardians Gold Glove outfielder Steven Kwan will soon be hearing wedding bells after announcing his engagement to longtime girlfriend Samantha Moy this week in an Instagram post.
The Cleveland All-Star picked up his third consecutive Gold Glove, emblematic of the best defensive left fielder in the American League earlier this month.
This week, Kwan, 27, was down on one knee asking Moy for her hand in marriage.
The Instagram post included photos of the happy couple on a wooden deck surrounded by candles: “It was always you Sammy! So excited to continue this journey with you wherever life takes us. Love you eternally and whatever is beyond!”
Comments of congratulations for the couple came from coaches, teammates and more, including Sandy Alomar Jr, ex-Cleveland outfielder Daniel Johnson, Tanner Bibee, Brittany Correa (wife of Guardians field coordinator Kai Correa) and Changel Collado, fianceé of Josh Naylor, who got engaged last offseason.
There is no word yet as to when the couple plans to tie the knot.
