Gusty winds to lash central Pa. as nighttime temperatures grow chillier

More than 30 mph winds are likely during the day this week as temperatures drop below freezing at night, forecasters said.

Daytime temperatures will be mild, but the National Weather Service said several nights this week could see lows in the upper 20s.

Forecasters said Monday will be overcast, with 50-degree highs. Rain and snow are likely Monday night into Tuesday; however, forecasters said little to no snow accumulation is expected.

Temperatures will peak in the upper 40s Tuesday as winds gust up to nearly 40 mph, forecasters said.

More than 30 mph winds are also expected Wednesday. Forecasters said Wednesday’s temperatures will peak in the mid 40s.

Forecasters said the heavy winds will clear up by the second half of the week. Thursday and Friday are expected to be sunny, with highs in the mid to upper 40s.
