Sport: After an evenly played half, the rest of the match was anything but. In a short time the home team was ahead with two goals thanks to Ruben Yttergård Jenssen and Vegard Erlien.

Later, the lead increased further after Kent-Are Antonsen scored and an own goal from Odd goalkeeper André Hansen.

Last year’s bronze medalist had lost all of their first five league games in 2024. On Sunday, it finally worked out for Tromsø.

– It feels incredibly good and very deserved. The way we do it shows a lot of mental strength, said TIL coach Jørgen Vik to TV 2 and continued:

– There were many who let loose and played to their strengths. We’ve had some tough times internally in the past few months. I like the expression we have now. We will build on this.

Erlien was in many ways the man of the night for Tromsø. He played elegantly on to Antonsen for 3-0 after 70 minutes. Shortly after, Runar Norheim’s finish went into the Odd cage via Hansen.

Odd has only taken one point in his last four games in the Eliteserien. The Skien team has eight points from as many matches.

– If you have a brain haemorrhage at the start of the 2nd half, and let it continue to drip, it will be what it will be. That game does not belong at this level, the veteran goalkeeper told TV 2.

On 16 May there will be a football party at Aspmyra when Tromsø hosts league leaders Bodø/Glimt. On the same day, Odd takes on Molde.

The first goal was scored when Yttergård Jenssen made a deep run and knocked in 1-0. Erlien was responsible for the goal-scoring pass, and two minutes later he himself was the last on the ball. It happened on a cliff heading.

After the match, André Hansen was harsh in his assessment of what Odd showed after the break.
