Harry and Meghan visited war veterans in Lagos

Sport: The two took part in a basketball event, and the prince dribbled along with children and young people. An organization run by former NBA player Masai Ujiri uses sports to help disadvantaged and injured youth.

– The power of sport can change lives, it brings people together and creates community, said Prince Harry.

Ten years ago, he himself founded the multi-sport event Invictus Games to activate wounded veterans as part of their recovery. There, athletes compete in sports such as wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball and indoor rowing. On the journey, he told about the scheme to the veterans in Lagos.

Harry and Meghan arrived in the country on Friday. In the capital, Abuja, they attended a school event on mental health. Prince Harry also got to meet wounded Nigerian soldiers in the northwest of the country.
