Hattan didn’t retire, remember your brother’s message

Experienced singer, Datuk Hattan, 60, canceled his wish to retire because he remembered the message of his late brother, Allahyarham Muhammad Hatta Shahabudin who breathed his last last Syawal.

Last January, the Rendang Tak Berbuah singer announced that he wanted to retire after three decades of being a singer with the excuse of wanting to rest.

However, the last message of the deceased before taking his last breath due to a heart attack made Hattan wake up.

“If you follow me, I really want to retire. However, the spirit was talking a lot a week before last Aidilfitri when we brothers and sisters gathered in the village.

“There’s just something wrong. The deceased also asked why I want to stop singing?

“The deceased said, God gave me sustenance and talent so that I can share with others.

“After the deceased passed away, I remembered his message, so I decided not to retire and will continue my career as a singer,” said Hattan to BH Online.

Hattan said, he began to see the spirit’s message to help others when he now took care of his nephew, Mikael Hatta.

Mikael, who is also the only child of the deceased, obtained excellent results in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination and will continue his studies in Germany.

“The deceased child is now under my responsibility. At least, I can help pay for his studies if he continues to sing,” he said.

Meanwhile, Hattan who is about to host the TMESA Charity Dinner, Night Of Love And Compassion with legendary singer, Datuk Jamal Abdillah on December 14, is also living a healthy lifestyle by quitting smoking. – Agency
