CLEVELAND, Ohio — The OHSAA playoffs begin tonight.
This is the fourth year with an expanded format with 16 teams qualifying for the postseason in each region.
Despite certain mismatches, there are plenty of intriguing matchups that normally would not happen without this expanded format. Some are rematches, including Cleveland Heights heading to Strongsville a month after their first encounter in the Greater Cleveland Conference, and North Royalton returning to Wadsworth a week after the Bears’ upset for a share of the Suburban League National Conference title.
