CLEVELAND, Ohio — The OHSAA football playoffs have reached the regional semifinals, and 21 teams remain alive from cleveland.com’s seven-county coverage area in Northeast Ohio.
All are in action tonight.
Northeast Ohio is represented in all seven divisions of the playoffs. It’s a slate that includes seven all-NEO matchups:
In Division II: No. 2 Archbishop Hoban (10-2) vs. No. 3 Nordonia (10-2); No. 1 Avon (12-0) vs. No. 5 Wadsworth (11-1).
In Division III: No. 2 Gilmour Academy (11-1) vs. No. 3 Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (10-2); No. 3 Benedictine (10-2) vs. No. 7 Padua (7-5).
In Division IV: No. 1 Lake Catholic (12-0) vs. No. 5 Glenville (9-3); No. 2 Perry (11-1) vs. No. 3 Streetsboro (12-0).
In Division V: No. 1 Kirtland (12-0) vs. No. 4 Columbia (10-2).
Top-seeded Mentor and three-time defending state champion St. Edward are also in action in Division I.
