As part of the national week against school bullying, the students of the “Star Academy” have received the visit of the first lady Brigitte Macron this Tuesday, November 5. During the daily broadcast this Wednesday evening, viewers were able to witness the exchanges between the former French teacher and the apprentice singers.
And the least we can say is that this guest did not leave them indifferent. They had barely seen her in the castle gardens from their theater room when a voice was heard in the audience: “As soon as she comes back, we have to get up!” “. The second she opens the door, a unison “Hello” rings out, to the point of making the director, Michaël Goldman, smile, who by his own admission has never seen them so well-behaved.
“You can be a factor in something very strong”
Coming alongside Justine Atlan, president of the E-enfance association and 30 18, the number for victims of harassment, Brigitte Macron first spoke with the students. It was when she became first lady that she realized the extent of the scourge: “I realized to what extent this harassment was a destabilizing factor. I am also surprised to see the extreme youth at which it beginsfrom primary school and with what force,” she detailed in front of the 12 candidates still in competition.
“When I go to 30 18 and I read the violence of the messages sent, sometimes very young, I am upset. I am here to raise awareness among you, young people. You can be a factor in something very strong,” she emphasized. In parallel with this visit, the national “No to Harassment” day is being organized this Thursday in all schools in France at the initiative of the Ministry of National Education.
Academicians talk about the harassment they experienced
During this meeting, several candidates spoke of their personal experience: “At college, we created a fake account in my name,” said Ebony. The 20-year-old from Ile-de-France said the person behind the profile was initiating conversations and making advances to other teenagers under the girl’s name. “It created a lot rumors around me. I only turned against my harassers at that time, but at no time did I have the idea of talking about it, of going to see the CPE,” she recalled.
The one who finished third in the evaluations this week also returned to an episode from her schooling in the small kindergarten section which did not leave her unscathed. “In my class, I was the only black person, I had a very bad experience. We played witches all the time. It was always me and never the others. I had the impression of being the villain of the story, she lamented. We need to make people aware of the difference at a very young age, because there are traumas from early childhood. »
Emma, for her part, praised the behavior of her friend Maïwenn towards her. Having changed colleges three times due to her parents’ divorce, the teenager was used to being “the new kid”. “In 4th grade, from the first day, people stepped on my shoes, they made fun of me. It stopped because one of my friends, Maïwenn, was my bodyguard. She told me from the start that there were rumors but she didn’t believe a word of them. »
The immunizer of the week insisted on the fact that it was “super important to reach out to others, to be hyper empathetic, to try to understand others. If Maïwenn had not come to see me, I would have accepted being sidelined by telling myself that I was the new kid,” she summarized.
One more first lady, one less lamp
They then left for a visit to the castle. Quickly, Masseo and Marine rush to put away the shoes lying around in the entryway. Around the piano, they all perform “The Mass Effect” by singer Maëlle. Revealed by “The Voice” of which she won season 7she released this title in 2019 in which she evokes school bullying.
On a more positive note, they then continue with their anthem “Start me again”. All grouped together, they reproduce the choreography all tightly together. And that’s the drama: with a movement of his arm, Charles causes the lamp located on a chest of drawers near the piano to waltz, under the eyes of a laughing Michaël Goldman. “Phew! », sighs the young 18-year-old singer as he puts the light fixture back in place.
“You come and visit the Élysée whenever you want,” says them Brigitte Macron leaving. The invitation is extended. “Can we do it before the end of the week?” », jokes Noah, named after the evaluations. At his side, Ulysses and Maureen also risk their place in the adventure. Exceptionally, we will not have to wait until Saturday evening, but until Friday to find out who will continue the adventure, since the “Star Ac” leaves its place for rugby on TF 1 on November 9 in prime time.
