RTÉ have given us our first look at Patrick Kielty gearing up for
The ad shows Kielty sitting down with a group of young children to find out everything he needs to know about what is traditionally Ireland’s most-watched television programme.
“What is the Toy Show?” he asks the group of Christmas jumper clad children. A little girl responds, “It’s the most magical night of the year.”
The group of children tell Kielty he needs to be “chatty”, “interesting,” “fun” and “funny” to pull it off.
At the end of the ad, he is warned “don’t mess it up”.
The teaser comes as previous host Ryan Tubridy confirmed he’s moving to London for a new gig with Virgin Media.
Last year, 1,532,000 of us tuned in to watch Tubridy dance and sing his way around the Wizard of Oz themed set.
