Don’t bother making jokes about Gordon Ramsay’s age now he’s become a dad again – because he’s already making them himself.

The 57-year-old celebrity chef surprised everyone earlier this month when he announced that he and wife Tana, 49, had welcomed a sixth baby together.

Gordon made the announcement with an Instagram post of their newborn, writing: ‘What an amazing birthday present please welcome Jesse James Ramsay, 7lbs 10oz whopper!!

‘One more bundle of love to the Ramsay brigade!! 3 boys, 3 girls…. Done’.

Gordon has spoken out about becoming a dad of six for the first time now, saying he feels ‘blessed’.

He’s also well prepared to be the eldest parent doing the school pick-up.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas over the weekend, Gordon said when asked how things are going: ‘Extraordinary.’

‘Really extraordinary, just blessed,’ he added.

‘I’m also sure I’ll be the oldest dad at the drop-off at school, so I’ll keep my cap and glasses on.’

Gordon and Tana, 49, already have Megan, 25, twins Holly and Jack, 23, Tilly, 21, and youngest son Oscar, four.

It was just a couple of months ago that the TV personality opened up about his fears of having another child with Tana, whom he married in 1996.

Despite Tana ‘wanting another one’, Gordon said in September that he had concerns regarding his age.

‘I’m going to be the oldest f****r at school,’ he complained once again.

‘”Who’s your grandad?” And what about sports day, and the egg and spoon race? What am I going to do?’

Despite all of this, he confessed he would ‘love another one’ but ‘five is enough for now’, speaking on the Dish podcast with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett.

Not long before that, Gordon pranked the nation by joking that Tana was expecting.

Appearing on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden in January, he made somewhat of an announcement but backtracked instantly.

Jamie asked him: ‘Gordon, you have five kids, right?’, to which he replied: ‘Last time I looked there was five, yes. I think there’s one more on the way.’

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda interrupted in shock, ‘What?’, as Gordon replied: ‘Seriously.’

Jamie asked, ‘You’ve not got another one on the way?’, with Gordon adding: ‘Tana’s jeans aren’t fitting her.’

Not convinced that Gordon was being serious, Amanda pushed: ‘Is it Christmas or is it a baby?’

Gordon then realised what he’d got himself into and made a quip about ‘double checking’ when he got home.

If only we knew then what we know now!
