An injured man threatened an emergency services employee with a pair of scissors on the way to the hospital. Witnesses noticed the 30-year-old man with head injuries in Oranienburg (Oberhavel district) during the night, police reported.
The man was reportedly uncooperative with the police officers who were called to the scene. It was initially unclear how he sustained his injuries.
An ambulance was reportedly taking him to hospital when the man grabbed a pair of scissors and threatened a rescue worker with them. The driver then made an emergency stop and the threatened woman fled from the vehicle. “Police officers who were driving behind the ambulance were able to overpower and restrain the 30-year-old,” it said.
According to reports, they used a taser, a remote electric pulse device, because the man offered strong resistance. The emergency services remained unharmed.
