Policy: The War Cabinet has met twice since Iran fired more than 300 rockets and drones at Israel late Saturday night. How Israel will possibly respond to the attack has not yet been decided.

The leadership in Tehran claims it forewarned the attack and said it was in retaliation for Israel’s airstrike on the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria, on April 1. Seven Iranian officers were killed in the attack.

Israel warns that it will respond to Iran’s attack, but the United States and several other countries warn against a further escalation of the conflict.
