After the SPD’s success in the Brandenburg election, Chancellor Olaf Scholz is also relying on fighting spirit and determination at the federal level. “It’s worth fighting,” said the SPD politician during his visit to New York. He also intends to do the same with a view to the federal election, “namely to fight, to act decisively and unitedly and to focus on solving the problems facing our country.”
When asked about the future of his traffic light coalition, Scholz stressed that the government had major tasks ahead of it. This included, for example, the fight for industrial jobs. “If companies have made wrong decisions in the past, this must not be played out on the backs of the employees. And we will take care of it,” he promised.
Scholz also thanked the SPD leadership for their support on the K question. They made it very clear: “We will go into the federal election together.” He and his party want to repeat what they achieved in the last election and win the race as the strongest party.
