BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 25 – Through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) has donated a total of 26 reused information technology (IT) assets consisting of 13 servers and 13 network devices to the Brunei Institute of Technical Education ( IBTE) Jefri Bolkiah Campus at the handover ceremony held at IBTE Jefri Bolkiah Campus, Kuala Belait, recently.
At the handover ceremony, BDCB was represented by Assistant Managing Director, Corporate Development, Hajah Sufinah binti Haji Sahar as well as several senior officers and members of BDCB’s Corporate Social Responsibility Committee.
According to the BDCB statement, today, the assets have been modified to remain in excellent condition and fully functional to support the resource requirements of virtual machines.
By handing over the assets that have been given a new lease of life, BDCB not only supports sustainability but also aims to further expand the learning opportunities of the students on the campus.
The initiative also reflects BDCB’s commitment to community development, fostering educational progress and supporting the development of expertise to empower the nation’s future workforce.
